Melanie DeAeth is a licensed educational diagnostician with more than 30 years of experience helping children and adults overcome learning challenges. Certified to administer and interpret standardized assessments, Melanie specializes in identifying the root causes of academic struggles and turning that insight into meaningful progress.
Her passion for dyslexia support began at home, after discovering that her own sons were dyslexic. This personal journey led her to advanced training at the Neuhaus Education Center, where she became a certified Dyslexia Specialist and Certified Academic Language Therapist in 2004. For 14 years, Melanie assessed students for dyslexia and provided targeted therapy within the Texas public school system.
Melanie is a licensed Educational Diagnostician with expertise in special education assessment and individualized instruction. She earned her master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on assessment from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2018. As a diagnostician, she has extensive experience evaluating students for special education services and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) designed to support meaningful academic progress. Her expertise bridges assessment and instruction, ensuring that evaluation results lead to effective, data-driven interventions tailored to each student’s needs.
Melanie founded Assessments Made Easy to simplify the process of diagnosing and remediating academic weaknesses. By translating assessment data into clear, actionable instruction, Assessment Made Easy empowers educators, parents, and students to unlock potential, build confidence, and achieve meaningful academic success.
